Reading is fundamental. In fact, it is one of the most important ingredients to becoming all that you can be. Reading develops your brain, provides a window into the world around you and gives you a greater chance to succeed.

Please support your child read by hearing them at least four times a week and completing their Reading Record. Thank you!

Project
We would like to invite the children to take part in a half termly project which they should undertake in addition to their reading and learning their spellings and maths facts.

The children should choose a minimum of one task per section or more if they wish!

Children will be awarded a certificate upon the completion of their project.

Be a writer!
Write a story set in the Stone Age.
Write a character description of a person who could be in a story set in the Stone Age.
Create an information book about the Stone Age
Be a detective!
Research what life was like for people who lived in Britain between 50,000 and 11,500 years ago.
Research the difference between life in the Mesolithic and life in the Neolithic period.
Research the three different periods of time which the Stone Age was divided into.
Get creative!
Make a Stone Age timeline.
Create a Stone Age Cave Painting.
Make a model Stone Age village.

Additional information on our learning this week

Thank you for all the amazing costumes which the children wore for our Stone Age Day. The children can use SMART amp and G Suite for their homework. They can now also use Times Table Rock Stars, they each have their own individual log in details and passwords.
