The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals, those looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel.
In December 2013, the school received a letter from Rt Hon David Laws MP to congratulate us on the excellent performance of our Pupil Premium children.
In October 2015, the school was invited to attend the Lead Member Progress Review Panel at the Town Hall as we were identified as a school who makes effective provision for disadvantaged pupils and the use of pupil premium funding. At this meeting, we shared our good practice with the Lead Member for Children and Learning and other senior staff from the Council.
