Interested in being a Governor?

I am writing to ask you to consider volunteering as a school Governor. This is an important role in leading and managing a school and provides support to the Headteacher. It is an unpaid role and involves attending meetings two or three times a term (usually early evenings) and visiting the school for monitoring purposes at times to suit you. Training is provided.

Following a recent resignation of an existing Governor, the Trust Board is particularly concerned to recruit a new Governor with experience and skills in the area of finance. If you have expertise  in finance,  please consider becoming a school Governor, or if you are able to recommend someone else with these skills who is not a parent/carer but willing to give their time to the school please do so.

If you have skills to offer in other areas (Human Resources, Premises, Management, Education, Law etc.) we would also be pleased to hear from you.

This current Governor vacancy is at Benhurst Primary School and if you are interested in applying please contact Kathy Hardy, Clerk to the Board of Directors, at Frances Bardsley Academy (contact details: KHARDY@FBAOK.CO.UK)

Yours  sincerely,

Ann Smart

Chair of LIFE Education Trust
